Last Night's C's - Fakers game. It's gonna get better.
From today' Globe coverage...

Dunk of the Year by Jerk of the Year

Peter May's take on the game:
“Too much Kobe. What, after a night when he was forced to watch his team lose from a hotel room, you expected a Sedale Threatt impersonation?
Kobe Bryant, the Lakers' celestial one, ripped the Celtics to shreds with 43 points (seven 3-pointers and one jaw-dropping dunk), 8 rebounds, and 8 assists in a command performance last night, leading Los Angeles to a 111-98 victory.
Sedale Threatt?
Threatt was a 1/2 who could play a bit, and always seemed to work hard. Low pick, too.
How about Kobe, Sr? The guy was talented but a “Fifth Wheel” on some of the most storied, talented and wonderful basketball teams ever to lace ‘em up. The 76ers of the late 1970’s featured Julius, Billy C on the sidelines in agony, Lloyd Free’s knee kickin j’s, Doug Collins puka shells, the incredible McGinnis (scary talent), DD, Harvey Catchings, hatchet man Mix, and Bibby Sr.
Also:
Unis that had some definite style.
Those front running fans at The Spectrum, who could be so very loud (through our tv), and so very quiet. Or worse.
Zinc. Proof that “white men can pump (it up).”
Cool.
We even bought one of the media quides one year, though lost it soon after under the deluge of Celtics title winners paraphernalia that quickly followed.
